Marc Gericó

Founding & managing partner

Marc Gericó is the Managing Partner and founder of our firm. He is considered one of the most recognised specialists in the field of consulting for law firms, both in Spain and in Latin America. As an international consultant, he has provided services to clients such as Baker McKenzie, CMS, DLA Piper or Squire Patton Boggs, among others and has advised law firms locally in cities such as Miami, Mexico City, Lima, Bogotá, Santo Domingo, Quito and Brussels, among the most prominent. During 2015, he was a Reputation Advisor for the Bankruptcy Administration of Banco Madrid, formed by the Spanish Government and two… 

In 2015, he was Reputation Advisor and member of the Crisis Committee in the Bankruptcy Administration of Banco Madrid, formed by the Spanish Government and two renowned Spanish law firms. A year later -in 2016-, Gericó Associates began its internationalisation and landing in Latin America, specifically in Bogotá and Lima. That same year, Marc and the rest of the Gericó Associates team created, organised and promoted the Legal Marcom Awards (Legal Marketing & Communications Awards), the first Spanish-speaking Legal Marketing and Legal Communications Awards. As a columnist, his annual analyzes of mergers between law firms in highly prestigious media such as Cinco Días stand out: “The challenges of transatlantic mergers” (11/04/2019), as well as Expansión: “The era of mergers in law firms” (01/19/2017), “2018: The golden age of mergers between law firms” (12/29/2017), “Law mergers and acquisitions: one year (more) than record numbers” (08/01/2019) and “Mergers between law firms: one more year (and going three) of record figures” (01/20/2020). In addition, he has been member of the Organising Committee of the World Law Congress held at the Royal Theatre last 2019, an event that brought together more than 1,000 jurists from around the world and where the Royal Spanish Family was awarded the prize for Democracy. He is a regular speaker at congresses on trends in the legal industry, Legal Marketing and internationalisation of law firms. He has been a tutor at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, as well as co-author of the work “Keys from day to day in a law firm” with Abogacía Española, an institution with which he collaborates.

María Sol Rubio

María Sol Rubio

María Sol is a lawyer from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), with degrees in Digital Marketing from the Digital Marketing Institute (Ireland) and in Strategic Communicaction and Sustainability from the Universidad del Desarrollo (Chile). She has worked as a lawyer for the public and private sector in Argentina, and the specialised in marketing and communicaction in London, where she worked for 3 years at Chambers and Partners, making executive decisions on the classification of firms. Before rejoining Gericó Associates, she worked at Garrigues, in charge of marketing and communication for the Latin American offices.

Diana Jennen

Partner
Partner, PR and Business Development Director with an international profile, Diana Jennen is a journalist, lawyer and polyglot. Member of the New York State Bar Association and the Legal Marketing Association (LMA), Jennen has been head of media at Cuatrecasas and has worked as a journalist for the Spanish television news channel Atresmedia and the European television channel Euronews. With a double degree in Journalism and Communications from Carlos III de Madrid University and a degree in Law from UNED University, Diana Jennen has a polyglot and international profile, with professional and academic experience in countries such as Germany, France and the Netherlands and a command of five languages: Spanish, English, German, French and Dutch.
Juan Paulo Rodriguez

Juan Paulo Rodríguez

Partner

Consultant with more than 25 years of experience in law firm management and extensive knowledge of the legal industry at national and international level. He is also a member of CLOC Global Institute; ALA (Association of Legal Administrators) and ILTA (International Legal Technology Association, USA) and participant since 1998 in their academic programmes.
Rodríguez holds an MBA from McGill University, Canada (1997) and a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de los Andes. In addition, he is a professor of the course “Management and Leadership in Law Firms” at the Law School of the Universidad de los Andes.

Andrés Vanegas

Senior Advisor
Andrés has more than 12 years of professional experience in marketing, communications and business development in Europe and Latin America. At Baker McKenzie, he was responsible for business development and marketing for the Advisory practice groups in Latin America. He was head of marketing at Palacios Lleras and of business development for Colombia at ClarkeModet. Andrés holds an MBA from the Universidad de los Andes in Colombia, a Master in Marketing from IED Madrid in Spain, and completed the Babson Build Program at Babson College in the United States.
Gabriel O´Hara

Gabriel O'Hara

Country Manager | Peru
Country Manager at Gericó Associates in Peru, Gabriel O’Hara holds a law degree from the University of Lima and has a distinguished career as a journalist in the newspaper Gestión, the most prestigious media in the Andean country on economic, legal and financial issues. He has an international education, with training in law and politics in the Republic of Korea. Gabriel is trilingual in English, Spanish and Japanese.

A graduate in law and political science with a specialism journalism, Juan Martín has more than 20 years of experience as a director, editor, journalist and consultant of strategic communications both in the public and private sector. The ex-director of Ámbito Jurídico has been a contributor to the newspaper Portafolio in legal topics and a professor at the Universidad de los Andes in the course of Communications and Legal Practise.

Irene Casanueva

Irene Casanueva has spent most of her professional career as a journalist specialising in legal and court reporting in newspapers and news agencies. She is also familiar with the institutional side after working in the communications offices of public entities. She has a double degree in Law and Journalism from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

Business Development Manager
Lorena has a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, with more than 7 years of experience in litigation and arbitration. She has worked in renowned law firms such as CMS, Olaechea, Benites, Vargas & Ugaz and Estudio Rubio, Leguía & Normand, providing legal advice to important companies in various sectors. In addition to her background as a lawyer, Lorena has a solid experience in business development, including the ability to design and execute marketing strategies, which makes her a highly versatile and valuable professional in the legal industry.

Mateo Ferrigno, Business Intelligence Manager of the team, has a varied international experience as a business administrator and data analyst. He is specialised in the generation of dashboards for decision making and KPI control in different corporate areas. She has extensive experience advising dozens of firms on international directories. As well as in project management, strategic plans, business development and legal reputation. She has worked throughout her career in renowned firms, such as Estudio Olaechea (member of the international LexMundi network), and legal marketing consulting companies.
